Dear Madam,

Thank you for your request for information regarding the above which was
received in the Estates Section on 2nd February 2009.

I now have pleasure in enclosing the information as requested and hope
this is sufficient for your purposes.

As of January 2009:

1) There is only one allotment site in the Council area to which the
Council has access to waiting list data, this site being Parc Abnac,
Madron, Penzance.

2) In total, there are 11 plots on this site.

3) In total, there are 24 people on the waiting list for one of these
allotments.

4) This waiting list has not been closed to further applications.

5) There are several other sites in the Council area which are not
run by Penwith District Council. These are run by the respective Town
and Parish Councils. We do not keep a record of these allotments but
instead direct any queries to the Clerks of the Town or Parish for the
enquirer to contact direct. I have therefore attached contact details
of all Town and Parish Council Clerks to assist you with your enquiry.

Furthermore, there are privately owned allotments within the Council
area which are run by Bolitho Estates. They can be contacted on 01736
363021.

I am advised to inform you by our Information Management and Licensing
Officers, that if you are not satisfied with this response you have the
right to complain to both the Council and the Information Commissioner
and I enclose a copy of Penwith District Council's Complaints Procedure
to assist you in this, should this be necessary.
