As of January 2009, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?
2) In total, how many plots are on these sites ?
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Dear Margaret
Thank you for your e-mail concerning the above. In response, please find
the following information for your perusal.
Data as of January 09
1) Eight
2) Approx. ninety seven tenable plots (some plots very derelict/unsafe
and need work before being able to let so not included)
3) Ninety Three (fluctuates e.g. out of area moves, deceased, changed
mind, obtained plot elsewhere or bought land)
4) No
5) There are nine sites managed by the District Council. However, there
are also sites scattered throughout the district belonging to Parish
Councils, Durham County Council, Allotment Associations and Privately run
sites, all of whom keep their own data etc.
If you require any further information or advice, please do not hesitate
