Dear Sir or Madam,
As of December 2008, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Borough for which the
council has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites?
3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Borough?
Yours faithfully,
Margaret Campbell

Dear Clark, Graham,
I have received your reply safely, thank you. It's obviously
complicated, and a little confusing for me. Can I please just
confirm with you my understaning of your figures?
Would it be correct to say you have up-to-date waiting list figures
for 12 sites, and 80 names currently waiting on these sites. I am
not clear how many plots there are on these 12 sites, and would be
grateful if you could clarify that for me.
Many thanks,
Yours sincerely,
Margaret

I would like to apologise for the delay in responding to your further request for detail relating to Rotherham's Allotments, we are currently completing extensive works on two of our sites that need to be completed before the end of March to comply with the external funding this work has affected response time.
With regards your request re further information, of the 31 sites under my management we plot let directly 11 sites so I can provide you with information for these, the information is as follows:
Site Name Number of plots Vacant Plots Pending Letting Waiting List
Lowfield Avenue 13 2 2
Psalters Lane 13 2 6
Eldon Road 33 0 4
Rectory Fields 65 1 6
High Street 46 7 7
Vicarage Fields 53 3 21
Barnsley Road 53 5 14
Wet Moor Lane 36 2 6

Where we have plots and a waiting list the majority are pending a plot letting and or are being cleared ready for letting.
We have not at this time closed any of our waiting lists.
Again I must apologise for the delay in responding, please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Yours Sincerely
