Dear Sir or Madam,

the council has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites in total?
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?
Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir or Madam,
Re: Overdue FOI Request
On December 23rd I submitted the following request for information:
"As of December 2008, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites in total?
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?"
By law, the response had to be prompt but no later than 26 January
2009. Under the Freedom of Information Act you should have replied
by now, and are breaking the law.
I would be grateful for a prompt response to this.
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Campbell

I have received the following response via a separate request emailed to the website contact details.
Our Estates Officer has asked me to forward the following information to you:
1. The Council manages 1 allotment site in Northwich. The remainder in the Borough tend to be managed by the relevant Town and Parish Councils.
2. There are 16 plots in total.
3. There are currently 8 people on the waiting list.
4. The waiting list is not closed.
5. This information is not held by the Council.
I hope the above response is helpful to you and your research. If I can be of any further help in the meantime, please do not hesitate to come back to me.
Kind regards
Sue Clarke

They even ignored a request about missing the 20 day deadline for FOI responses.

They will try and argue they did not receive your request but that's nonsense because they have answered some of mine. I think they may playing games because they cease to exist at the end of March. You will then have to deal with Cheshire West and Chester Unitary Council. VRBC like to bounce people from one authority to another. Saves them having to do any work!
