Please read the Council's email disclaimer notification which is located at the end of the email message.

Dear Ms Campbell

Request for Information made under the Freedom of Information Act, 2000

Further to your request received on 23 December 2008, I confirm that
Torbay Council has completed its search for the information that you
requested.

As of December 2008, please could you tell me?

1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?

The above situation would need to be explained to the person who has
requested the FOI request.

But as of the 9^th December 2008 the Council is responsible for directly
managing the waiting lists for the remaining 4 allotment sites (Sherwell
Valley, Ailescombe, Hartop Road and Ben Venue allotment sites) in Torbay
Council ownership.

2) How many plots are on these sites in total?

Sherwell Valley 57

Ailescombe 40

Hartop Road 13

Ben Venue 13

In total = 123 plots

3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?

Sherwell Valley 70

Ailescombe 117

Hartop Road 121

Ben Venue 108

Please note that people are allowed to be placed on more than one waiting
list and so, many of these lists contain duplicate waiting list applicant
details and so to total up all of the amounts would not lead to an
accurate picture of how many individual people are waiting. If a person is
offered a plot on one of the sites their details are then removed from all
other lists.

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

All are still open to applications

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Within the Torbay boundary for which Torbay Council is the unitary
authority, there are 19 sites.

Torbay Council directly manages 4 allotment sites:
