Dear Sir or Madam,

As of December 2008, please could you tell me:

1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which
the council has access to waiting list data?

2) How many plots are on these sites in total?

3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Thank you for your information request. I would be grateful if you could
provide the following clarification to allow me to compile the council's
response:

You refer to "allotment sites...in the council's area". Please clarify
whether you intend to refer to allotments operated by Fylde Borough
Council, or any allotments within the area of Fylde Borough Council. If
the request relates to the former, we will be able to provide the
information. If the latter, we will probably not be able to, as other
organisations such as parish councils also may have allotment sites and
the council would not have comprehensive information on these.

Please note that under section 1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act
2000, the council is not obliged to comply with your request until it
has received this further information requested from you.

Council please.

sites are in the Fylde area if you have this data.

operated by Fylde Borough Council.

In addition, if the Council has figures for the total number of
allotment sites in the Borough, please could you let me know as the
response to q5.

Here's the information you requested:

1) How many allotment sites does the council operate for which the
council has access to waiting list data?

A) 1

2) How many plots are on these sites in total?

A) Approximately 50 plots

3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an
allotment?

A) 53 in queue for the Allotment we run

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

A) Moss Hall Lane Allotment is still taking applications

5) How many other allotment sites (i.e. operated by parish councils etc)
are we aware of in the Council area?

A) Mythop Lane Allotments run by Mythop Road Association, Shepherd Road
Allotments run by St Annes Parish, Croft Butts Lane and Naze Lane
Allotments managed by Freckleton Parish Council, Kirkham Allotments run
by Kirkham Town Council and Wesham Allotments run by Medlar with Wesham
Town Council.
