1) How many allotment sites are there in the Borough for which the
council has access to waiting list data?

2) How many plots are on these sites?

3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

5) How many sites are there in total in the Borough?

Dear Ms Campbell

I am emailing to respond to your FOI request, which was sent via the
WhatDoTheyKnow website. Your request was not actually received by the
Council, but I hope I can provide some assistance nevertheless.

Your request was:

1) How many allotment sites are there in the Borough for which the council
has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites?
3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?

5) How many sites are there in total in the Borough?

Allotments in the Wigan Borough are managed by Wigan Leisure and Culture
Trust, which is a separate legal entity from Wigan Council. Information
about the Trust's approach to allotments can be found on their website at
the following address:

make a request to the Trust, please contact them directly. The Trust is
not subject to the Freedom of Information Act as it is a charity, but they
may be able to assist you with your enquiry. The Trust's address is
