Dear Mr Massie,
Further to your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act;
1. Population of Sefton: 277,421 (Mid Year Population Estimates for
2006)
2. Sites which are owned and managed directly by Sefton Council:
Total of 311 plots in 5 sites
Sites which are owned by Sefton Council but are Self Managed:
Total of 635 plots in 8 sites
3. Waiting Lists which we manage directly are as follows:
In the Southport area there are 221 people on the waiting list for
either one or both of the Sefton-managed sites
In the Crosby area there are 213 people on the waiting list for either
one or both of the Sefton-managed sites
In the Bootle area there are 71 people on the waiting list on the
Gardner avenue (Sefton-managed) site
The self managed sites keep their own waiting lists and the Council
does not have this information.
