I am concerned that Wyre Forest District Council is not fulfilling
its legal obligation with respect to the provision of allotments.
Allotments should be made available if demand for them can be seen
to exist. Given that the Wyre Forest prevents individuals from
being added to the waiting list because of excessive demand would
you please provide me with: Number individuals are currently on the
waiting list. Number of requests to be added to the waiting list
that have been turned down. Minutes or notes from all council
meetings that have contributed towards the derivation of the
current policy of closing the waiting list.

The answers to your questions regarding the provision of allotments is as follows:
Wyre Forest District Council currently has 202 individuals on waiting lists for allotments. These are spread across 9 sites.
The Council does not record the number of requests to be added to the waiting lists following the temporary closure of those waiting lists.
The decision to close the waiting lists was an operational decision not subject to council policy. The closure of the waiting lists is temporary until the lists are reduced.
