I am writing in respect of your request for information relating to correspondence and documentation pertaining to planning application 06/01862/FUL and the related subsequent application 07/03108/FUL submitted under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.
Under the Freedom of Information Act the Authority has the right to refuse an applicant information held if an exemption applies. The Authority believes in this case such an exemption applies and has decided to refuse this part of your request.
We believe that the information is exempt under Section 21 which applies to Information reasonably accessible to the applicant by other means. We have considered the information and believe that it falls under this exemption because the information you request is available on-line http://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/publica... or could be inspected from the Council's Planning Department, situated in Newton Bar, Leeds Road, Wakefield. The opening hours are 8.30 am - 5 pm Mondays-Thursdays and 8.30-16.30 on Fridays. No prior appointments necessary.
If you are unhappy with the way the authority has handled your request, you may ask for an internal review. Please contact the Council's Freedom of Information Officer, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, Information Compliance Unit, Room 51, County Hall, Wakefield WF1 2QW, who will arrange an internal review of your case.
