Alcohol Budget

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Redcar and Cleveland Primary Care Trust (PCT) should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Redcar and Cleveland Primary Care Trust (PCT),
could you please provide me with details of the 10/11 budget solely
for alcohol (not drugs)? Please state how it was broken down into
treatment, salaries etc. Please also state for each what was
actually spent.
I know that the PCT tries to adhere to the proposals set by the
National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse in their models of
care framework but I need to know how the PCT split the budget
between drugs and alcohol, and how it actually played out in
practice.

Dear P Child,
Thank you for your request of 25 June regarding the alcohol budget for
Redcar & Cleveland PCT. This request will be handled under the terms of
the Freedom of Information Act (2000) on behalf of NHS Tees (NHS
Hartlepool, NHS Middlesbrough, NHS Redcar and Cleveland and NHS Stockton
on Tees). I can be contacted by telephone on 01642 666809 should you
have any questions or concerns about your request.
In some circumstances a fee may be payable and if that is the case, I
will let you know. A fees notice will be issued to you, and you will be
required to pay before we will proceed to deal with your request.
Under the Act we have 20 working days in which to provide the
information, therefore you can expect a response no later than 25 July
2011.
In line with the Information Commissioner's Directive on the disclosure
of information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 your request
will form part of our disclosure log. Therefore, a version of our
response which will protect your anonymity will be posted on the Tees
PCTs websites.
