Dear A-M Griffin,

Local authorities have no statutory powers or duties relating to noise
from aircraft. For this reason we do not record complaints that we
receive. We refer all such callers to the British Airports Authority 24hr
noise line 07800 344844.

I regret not being able to provide a more helpful reply.

Regards,

Dear Richard,

Thank you for your response. BAA is not responsible for all
aircraft overflying London - they are responsible for Heathrow
flights, however aircraft from London City Airport also fly over
London.

London City Airport is a privately owned airport and therefore
residents would need to be referred to them, or Newham Council who
is the planning authority for the airport in regard to noise
complaints, not BAA. It might be a distinction you may wish to note
for Lambeth residents.

Yours sincerely,

A-M Griffin
