Dear Sir or Madam,
I understand that the GLA was responsible for organising the recent
Olympic torch relay in Central London. Please could I have a copy
of any documents that any individuals participating in this relay
were expected to agree to (e.g. a contract, code of conduct, etc).
If you were not responsible for this aspect of the organisation,
please let me know who was.
Yours faithfully,
Ganesh Sittampalam

Dear Ganesh Sittampalam,
In response to your enquiry regarding the Olympic Torch Relay, please find enclosed a copy of the commitment letter and code of conduct for torchbearers participating in the event. I hope this is helpful.

Dear Ganesh
Thank you for your email. I have looked into your complaint, and it appears from our records that the response to your request was sent out on the same day that you wrote to us (20 May). According to our records, your original request was received on 19 April. This meant that the 20 May was the twentieth working day, bearing in mind that weekends and the May Bank Holiday are not counted as working days in respect of the Act.
I am sorry that you were dissatisfied with the time that it took to respond, but our response was sent out within the statutory deadline. Please do let me know if you have still not received the information you have requested and I will arrange for this to be forwarded to you again.
Yours sincerely

Dear Paul,
19th of April was a Saturday, so Monday 21st of April was the first
working day after you received my request. That makes Monday 28th
of April the sixth working day. Since Monday 5th May was a bank
holiday, the 11th working day was Tuesday 6th May, the 16th working
day was Tuesday 13th May, and the 21st working day was Tuesday 20th
May, i.e. you missed the statutory limit by 1 day.
Yours sincerely,
Ganesh Sittampalam
