Andrea Joubert made this Freedom of Information request to North Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council
North Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council did not have the information requested.
From: Andrea Joubert
26 August 2011
Dear North Tyneside Borough Council,
Please can you provide me with a list of agency spend in relation
to supply staff in all schools for this council.
A previous request has been made, and the person was refered to
DofE website. However that information is for 2009/2010 and I am
looking for the information for year 2010/2011
I would ideally like the list broken down by school, and agency.
Other Councils use their SAP to break this down.
Yours faithfully,
Andrea Joubert

Dear North Tyneside Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of North Tyneside
Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Agengy Spen'.
The request was refused under case law, howver every other Local
Authority in the country gives this information, so I am at a loss
as to why you seem unwilling to provide this.
Can you clarify your position on this, and why you are so different
to every other counil in the country?
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:

Dear Miss Joubert
The Council has now completed its internal review of your Freedom of Information request RFI 3971.
The review was conducted by the Council's Senior Manager Housing Strategy, as a manager independent of the original request.
In conducting the internal review they considered the Information Commissioner's guidance on Section 22 and whether it was reasonable to apply section 22 when the information will be published in October/November, as stated in the original response.
They have asked that we point out that the Council does not use SAP and that the information you requested is not held by the Council in the detail requested and may be available direct from individual schools.
However they do consider the Council was correct to apply Section 22 and to exempt the information it does hold. Therefore your complaint is not upheld.
If you are unhappy with the way the Council has dealt with your complaint you can contact the Information Commissioner at:
