Dear Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru / National Assembly for Wales,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request
information on the number of staff (if any) employed by the
National Assembly for Wales on a temporary basis through job
agencies.
To clarify, I am referring to the employment of so-called "temp"
staff, employed normally on a short-term basis, but perhaps for
longer, whereby a third-party recruitment company is paid for the
staff member(s) they provide.
I would like to know how many people have worked for the assembly
in this way from two years ago until the present. I would like to
know how long they worked for, what positions they worked in and
with what responsibilities, and how much the agency was paid for
those workers.
I would like to compare this with directly-employed staff in
similar positions, and so request the amount paid to them (perhaps
in annual salary, or any other unit), and their job positions and
responsibilites.
I understand that direct information of the agencies involved may
be exempt for commercial reasons, but stress that this should not
affect the rest of the information being made available.
I would like the information in electronic format, as an .xls
document if possible.
If any further clarification on what I am looking for is required,
please do not hesitate to email me.
I look forward to hearing from you within 20 days.
Yours faithfully,
Tom Sheldrick
