Dear Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust,
I would like to request information in relation to Agency spend for
Administrative Support staff over the past two years and which
recruitment agencies this spend was with.
In addition I would like information regarding any "Preferred
Supplier Lists" or "Supplier Level Agreements" the Trust has in
place, and when this is up for renewal?

Dear Sir/ Madam
Thank you for the below FOI request. Please find our response as
follows:
The Trust has over recent months made conscious efforts to reduce its
spending on agency staff and over the last two years has successfully
decreased spending in this area, including Agency Admin Support staff.
The spend on Admin Agency Staff over the last two years is as follows:
- July 2008 - June 2009 ? 254,877
- July 2009 - June 2010 ? 142,533
Total ? 397,430
As part of the approach to minimising costs the Trust is committed to
the Agency Framework implemented through "Buying Solutions", with the
current arrangement in
place until May 2011
