Can you please:
1. Provide the number of qualified social workers supplied through
recruitment agencies, analysed by Children and Adult services
2. Provide information on the number of in-house residential units,
day care centres and supported living settings currently using
agency care / support workers, their locations, also analysed by
Children’s and Adult Services
3. Advise which of question 2 are expected to be closed in 2012?
4. Provide an organogram showing the Social Services Departments

Dear Movya,
I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request of 29
January 2012. I apologise for the delay in our response. You requested the
following information:
1. Provide the number of qualified social workers supplied through
recruitment agencies, analysed by Children and Adult services
In total 29 qualified social workers are engaged within the Children’s
Services Directorate pending permanent appointments to the teams. There
are no agency contracts currently in Adult Services Social Work teams.
2. Provide information on the number of in-house residential units, day
care centres and supported living settings currently using agency care /
support workers, their locations, also analysed by Children’s and Adult
Services
No agency staff are used in any of these settings in either Children’s or
Adults services
3. Advise which of question 2 are expected to be closed in 2012?
None
4. Provide an organogram showing the Social Services Departments within
the Council

Recruitment:
5. What current formal arrangements are in place with regards to
recruitment for
Qualified Social Workers, Children’s Residential Recruitment,
Children’s Services and
Adult Services?
All recruitment is under scrutiny to ascertain the need to fill posts,
however there is recruitment ongoing in key services within Children’s and
Adult Services. Within Children’s Services, a targeted recruitment
campaign is ongoing to recruit qualified Social Workers. All recruitment
activity is being carried out through the City Council’s own agreed
resources, and no external recruitment providers / agencies are being
engaged.
6. When are these agreements (contracts) due to expire and who is
currently running the
contract?
There are no contracts/agreements in relation to recruitment or
procurement of staff within the mentioned areas.
7. Who is the best person to speak to with regards to procurement?
