Can you please:

1. Provide the number of qualified social workers supplied through
recruitment agencies, analysed by Children and Adult services

2. Provide information on the number of in-house residential units,
day care centres and supported living settings currently using
agency care / support workers, their locations, also analysed by
Children’s and Adult Services

3. Advise which of question 2 are expected to be closed in 2012?

4. Provide an organogram showing the Social Services Departments
within the Council Recruitment

Dear Movya

I refer to your request below, and I apologise for the delay in this response. I can give you the following information.

1. Provide the number of qualified social workers supplied through
recruitment agencies, analysed by Children and Adult services

As of 08/03/2012 we have 16 social work professionals currently working on an agency basis at Trafford Council.

2. Provide information on the number of in-house residential units,
day care centres and supported living settings currently using
agency care / support workers, their locations, also analysed by
Children's and Adult Services

We have 3 Children's in-house residential units and 4 day centres within Adult Social Services. In addition we operate a Supported Living Service with a number of houses in the Trafford Borough.

3. Advise which of question 2 are expected to be closed in 2012?

No plans to close any of the above.

4. Provide an organogram showing the Social Services Departments within the Council Recruitment

We do not have a structure chart that can be provided showing Social Services department. Trafford Council work in a Multi-disciplinary Service in two directorates - Children and Young People's Service and Communities and Well-being.

All vacancies are approved by the directorate's Senior Management Team and then the Corporate Management Team. If there are no suitable internal redeployees identified then the job vacancy is advertised using www.yourcounciljobs.co.uk/trafford

7. When are these agreements (contracts) due to expire and who is currently running the contract?

The Your Council Jobs E Recruitment system is run by TMP and the contract is in place until 31/03/2014

8. Who is the best person to speak to with regards to procurement?
