From: Freedom Of Information
Sutton Borough Council
22 February 2012
Dear Mr or Ms Makambwe
Please find below the responses to your questions:
1. Provide the number of qualified social workers supplied through
recruitment agencies, analysed by Children and Adult services
As at the beginning of February 2012 the number of Qualified Social Worker
assignments were:-
Adult Services - 3
Children’s Services - 16
2. Provide information on the number of in-house residential units, day
care centres and supported living settings currently using agency care /
support workers, their locations, also analysed by Children’s and Adult
Services:
Adults services - we provide support to people living in 7 Supported
Living settings. We have no in-house residential or day care centres for
adults.
The in-house supported living settings belong to private individuals so it
would not be appropriate to disclose their locations as this constitutes
the personal information of the individuals concerned. This part of your
request has therefore been refused under sections 40(2) and 40(3)a)i) of
the Freedom of Information Act 2000 because disclosure of this information
would contravene the first data protection principle. Section 40(3)a)i)
provides an absolute exemption which means that there is no test of public
interest or prejudice.
Children’s services – No in-house residential units, day care centres or
supported living settings in children’s services.
3. Advise which of question 2 are expected to be closed in 2012?
Adults Services - There are no plans to close any of the Supported Living
settings.
Children’s Services – not applicable
4. Provide an organogram showing the Social Services Departments within
the Council
Please see attached, however we reserve the right not to respond to
unsolicited marketing approaches.
I am sorry we have been unable to provide you with all of the information
you requested (reference 3788), in line with the Refusal Notice above. If
you are dissatisfied with our explanation as to why we are unable to
provide the information requested, or you are unhappy with the way in
which your request has been handled you have the right to ask for an
internal review. Please notify us in writing as soon as possible and the
grounds upon which you feel the appeal is justified. Internal review
requests should be addressed to: Corporate Customer Care Team, Civic
Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1EA or emailed to
[1][Sutton Borough Council request email]
We will respond to you hopefully within 20 working days of receiving your
request, if it is going to take longer we will let you know. At the end of
the appeal process if you remain unhappy you may refer to the Information
Commissioner. Further guidance is available from their website
