From: Amanda Walker
5 July 2010
Dear Warwickshire County Council,
I am interested in the amounts paid by each college in Warwickshire
to third parties in relation to temporary agency staffing cover. My
hope is to receive an electronic breakdown of amounts paid through
the department's purchase ledger by college
The information I require for each college is: College Name;
Supplier name and total amount paid.
4. I would like the information to cover the year 2009/10. I will
accept 2008/9 figures if this is not possible
Yours faithfully,
Amanda Walker

Dear Miss Walker
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST
Having considered your request for information I regret to advise you that
the County Council does not hold the information you have requested.
The Further and Higher Education Act 1992 created further education
corporations as statutory legal entities. This means that Colleges are
statutory corporations classified as being in the private sector and
therefore manage their own overheads and salaries.
The role of the Local Authority in terms of finance with regard to
Colleges is focused on managing payment of the funding allocation from the
Young Persons Learning Agency. These funds relate to the delivery of 16-18
learning and do not include any specific information on staff salaries or
associated costs.
I can only suggest that you send your request to the individual College
Principals for them to consider, please see below for contact information.
