Dear Lambeth Borough Council,
I am interested in the amounts paid by each Behavioural pupil
referral unit / short stay school in Lambeth
LEA to third parties in relation to temporary agency staffing
cover. My
hope is to receive an electronic breakdown of amounts paid
through the department's purchase ledger by school from September
2011 to December 2011.
Please can you supply the following information in an excel
spreadsheet format:-
School Name – URN or DFE number – agency/supplier name – total
amount paid
Yours faithfully,
Amanda Walker

Dear Ms Walker
Although unable to provide an electronic breakdown of amounts paid by each
PRU in relation to temporary agency staffing cover, I can confirm that
through Lambeth’s preferred supplier for agency teaching and learning
staff, Supreme Education, the transaction amounts are as follows:
o Primary PRU 2081102: £13,855.75
o Secondary PRU 2081106: £17,254.30
The cover during the period of September 2011 to December 2011 relates to:
· Long term sickness cover at both the primary and secondary PRUs
· Additional posts to support the needs of the borough to ensure
that pupils with a statement of Special Educational Needs are placed in
provision. This service is in addition to those young people being
educated in the PRU due to permanent exclusion
· Following restructures that are taking place within the Local
Authority, there are some agency staff covering unfilled vacancies.
