Dear Mr Hopkins

Your request for information has now been considered. The information
requested is as follows;

How many full-time employees you have who are aged 65 or over.

How many part-time employees you have who are aged 65 or over.

Staff aged 65 or over as requested as of 15/06/09

This includes all areas of the Council except schools. Schools directly
employed staff are not included because the data is not available for all
schools due to each school making it's own HR \ Payroll arrangements and
in some cases staff are not employees of the Council. Centrally employed
roles such as School Crossing Patrollers are included.

Some persons over 65 are also engaged in paid work for specific projects
such as election staffing, though these are not employees of the Council
and therefore excluded.

Each person only counted once though a number hold more than one
employment.

The information supplied to you in response to your request is the
