Dear Reading Borough Council,
This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000.
1) What is the budget provided to each the Council's After School
clubs for meal allowance for children attending the clubs?
2) How is the budget provided to each of the After School Clubs? In
particular I would like to know how the food is purchased by the
clubs - is this done separately or bought in bulk for all the
clubs?
3) Please provide an example of a weekly menu provided by each of
the After School Clubs eg detailing meals provided for children.
4) Please provide receipts for February, April, May 2010 for each
of the clubs detailing how the budgeted allowance for was spent.
If any part of this request is to be denied under the cost limit,
as stated under the Freedom of Information Act please contact me
with a suggestion of how the request can be modified in order to
fall within the limit.
If any part of this request is to be denied please cite the
exemption upon which the Council is relying.
I look forward to receiving this information in 20 working days
from receipt of the request.

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act. Our response to your enquiry is as follows:
1) What is the budget provided to each the Council's After School clubs
for meal allowance for children attending the clubs?
Please see the attached spreadsheet
2) How is the budget provided to each of the After School Clubs? In
particular I would like to know how the food is purchased by the clubs -
is this done separately or bought in bulk for all the clubs?
A weekly purchase order is raised for each club.
Each club sets a menu for the following week at the weekly team meeting
and then team members purchase the items needed using the purchase order.
Each After School Club shops separately.
3) Please provide an example of a weekly menu provided by each of the
After School Clubs eg detailing meals provided for children.
Please see the attached sheet
4) Please provide receipts for February, April, May 2010 for each of the
clubs detailing how the budgeted allowance for was spent.
