Dear Mr Stevenson

 

I refer to your request for information relating to budgetary/financial
advice to schools and can provide the following information.

 

Please provide the name of the department and names of employee(s) whom as
part of their job description and/or as part of their job
responsibilities, provide advice to Governors and/or Headteachers in
relation to school finance and budgets.

 

 

Such advice is provided by:

1. The Council Schools Finance Team (where provision of the information in
question is mandatory - eg Allocation of Annual Budgets)

 

2. A bought-in Finance support service either from the Council's Schools
Finance team, an Independent Organisation or another Council's Schools
Finance team.

 

3. Additionally most Schools employ a Finance Manager or Bursar.

 

In order to obtain any further information relating to your request,
schools would need to be contacted individually as each establishment
including the Governing Body is responsible for their own budget

In accordance with the procedures of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough
Council (RMBC), I am advising you that the cost to the authority in
responding to this request has been £23.00 which reflects the staff time
and administration costs involved. RMBC however does not currently make
any charge to customers for processing Freedom of Information Act
requests.

 

If you are not satisfied with this response you have the right to an
