I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request of 13
October 2011, whereby you asked the following:

1.Within your Adult Social Care Department, how many teams specifically
deal with elderly care?
2.What are these teams called?

Response:

Other than the Older People’s Mental Health Teams we do not have teams
that work specifically with older people.  The area-based teams work with
all adults with physical disabilities and long-term conditions.

SOUTHERN AREA

Three Older People’s Mental Health (OPMH) teams managed by one Team
