Dear Sir or Madam,
FoI request June 2009-06-28
How many social workers are there working in adult care?
How many of these are working with disabled people under 60?
How many adults are you providing some sort of community care
service to in total?
How many allocated cases are there in adult care?

What proportion of this is spent providing care in the community
through Direct Payments or Individual Budgets.
What proportion of this is spent on residential care provision.
What is the average length of time for provision of aids.
What is the average length of time for provision of adaptations.
Yours faithfully,
Linda Burnip

Dear Ms Burnip
Thank you for your email received by my team today. Can you please
clarify the questions in red for me:
How many adults are you providing some sort of community care service to
in total? We can do this, for which date would you like?
What is the average time between referral for a service and
assessment of needs We can do this, for which date would you like? It
would probably be most accurate to base on the 08/09 year.
What is the average time between referral and
provision of the necessary service. We can do this, for which date would
you like? It would probably be most accurate to base on the 08/09 year.
You are asking for numbers of adults on a number of your questions, can
you please let me know if you mean all adults over the age of 18 or do you
mean 18-64 and then 65+.
I look forward to receiving clarification on the above.
Thanks.
Regards
Lesley Clay

Dear Clay Lesley,
I would like the most recent whole year figures available so if
that is 08-09 then that would be helpful.
It would be moct helpful to have data split into under 65s and over
65s, if this isn't possible then I am most interested in under 65s.
Thank you for your assistance with these requests
Yours sincerely,
Linda Burnip
