What is the average time between referral for a service and
assessment of needs

What proportion of this is spent providing care in the community
through Direct Payments or Individual Budgets.
What proportion of this is spent on residential care provision.

We are in the process of providing you with a full response, but would require more information from you, before the rest can be provided, if it is still required after receiving the attached. Therefore, please let us know what else you will require.
How many adults are you providing some sort of community care service to in total? 4,451 as at 31/06/2009.
How many allocated cases are there in adult care? 4,248 as at 02/07/2009.
How many unallocated cases are there in adult care? 788 as at 02/07/2009.
How many ‘held’ cases are there in adult care. We are unsure as to what is meant by 'held'.
What is the average time between referral for a service and assessment of needs 24.6 days as at 02/07/2009, for all service users aged 18+.
What is the average time between referral and provision of the necessary service. As no date period has been provided, we will provide a 2008/2009 figure. by "average time" we assume number of days is required, not hours and minutes as no age range has been specified, we will provide total for all 18+
What is the average length of time for provision of adaptations. 5.7 days for 01/04/2008 to 31/03/2009 - minor adaptations, 19.7 days for 01/04/2008 to 31/03/2009 - major adaptations.
The total adult care expenditure budget for 2009/10 is currently £124.736m or £85.176m after income.
The total current budget for direct payments and individual budgets is £4,399,800 (3.53%).
The total current budget for residential care is £19,455,500 plus an additional £7,618,800 for nursing care totalling £27,074,300 (21.71%).
