FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

Thank you for contacting Buckinghamshire County Council.

Your request for information (included below) has now been considered and the
information you have requested is as follows:

23 March 2005: Letter to all tutors informing them of changes in the Service
including the review of the tutor pay structure/protected pay/need for
qualifications

8 June 2005: Letter sent to tutors regarding consultation on tutor pay
together with tutor pay proposals document

June/July 2005: Tutor roadshows held at Winslow, Evreham and Stokenchurch at
which qualification based tutor pay was discussed along with the opportunity
to remain on a protected salary. Members of Staffing Team attended to discuss
issues with individuals

10 August 2005: Tutors written to giving them the outcome of the consultation
on tutor pay and details of new pay rate/option to remain on protected pay

14 May 2007: Those tutors on protected pay written to advising that the
protection would continue for a further year

Each year since 2005 the tutor handbook (issued in the Summer) has provided
information on tutor pay/protected pay and qualifications.
