Please can you provide statistics for the following:
1. The number of adult referrals sent for full diagnostic
assessment of a Autistic Spectrum Disorder between 12 January 2010
and the present (14 December 2011).
2. The number of the above referrals that were granted the finance
for a full diagnostic assessment for the same period.
3. The number of the above referrals that were refused finance for
a full diagnostic assessment for the same period.

Further to your request for information under the Freedom of Information
Act, please see our response for NHS Croydon below:-
Since January 2010, there have been 32 referrals for outpatient
assessments for adults at a specialist autism clinic. Of these, 14
referrals were agreed for funding by NHS Croydon (the PCT) and 18
referrals were not approved for funding. All referrals were to the South
London and Maudsley Behavioural Genetics/Autism Assessment Clinic and the
Behavioural Disorders Unit.
In the event that you are dissatisfied with the outcome to your request
for information you have the right to submit a complaint. Any complaint
received will give rise to a full reconsideration of the handling of the
case as well as the final decision.
