FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

Dear Melizza Moore
I am writing to you in reply to a Freedom of Information Act request you
made to Bassetlaw District Council on 6 July asking how many children have
been forcibly adopted since 2006. Your request was sent to Nottinghamshire
County Council because adoption is dealt with by the county council.
I notice that you sent a request for the same information to
Nottinghamshire County Council on 1 June 2010 and the reply below was sent
to you on 25 June.
155 children were adopted in care proceedings (that is, without parental
consent) from 2006.
If you do require additional information or have any further enquiries
regarding this matter please do not hesitate to contact me.
