Think they don't wana answer my perfectly legitimate question. Hmm I wonder why that could be? For instance are there a LOT of forced Adoptions going on there.

Dear FOIA,

By LAW this FOI request should have been dealt with.It is now
extremely OVERDUE. I can only surmise, that you do not wish to
co-operate with my perfectly legitimate question. Am I to take this
as the response then?

Yours sincerely,

Melizza

I can't see a question from you re Adoptions under Durham County Council.

I meantion it because whilst the Council has told me that NO EXTRA ALLOWANCES, (in addition to basic Fostering Allowances), are paid for Christmas, Holidays and Birthdays, its Fostering Advert Site states that they ARE. I'm still waiting for an explanation for the discrepancy.

ISLINGTON COUNCIL: TECHNICAL ISSUE WITH RESPONDING TO WHATDOTHEYKNOW.COM
REQUESTS

A technical issue has been identified involving emails been sent by
Islington Council to whatdotheyknow.com. This occurred between April
and early August 2010. The emails were being sent successfully from the
council's network, but a technical setting on our email servers resulted
in the emails not being accepted by the whatdotheyknow.com site.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in responding to these
requests. All the FOI requests received from whatdotheyknow.com during
this period are being re-checked and processed as necessary.

The council supports the objectives and ethos of the whatdotheyknow.com
site. [WhatDoTheyKnow contact email] has been very helpful and we have worked
closely with them to resolve this issue.

Once again I offer my apologies for the delay you have experienced in
receiving the information requested from the council.

Yours sincerely
