Dear Ms Moore
My response to you is not an attempt to provide you with false information or fob you off.
As I state in the third paragraph of my response: -
"the term "forcible adoption’ has no legal meaning and is not a term that anyone working in this field would recognise. A distinction can be made only between adoptions where relinquishing birth parents have given their consent and where they have not. This does not equate to a ‘forcible adoption’."
If you wish us to provide you with information relating to adoptions where relinquishing birth parents have given their consent and where they have not then we will endeavour to provide this information to you. Please advise me if this is what you are looking for.
An applicant who is dissatisfied with the way in which Midlothian Council has dealt with his/her request for information under section 1(1) of the FOISA, may, by virtue of section 20 of the FOISA, require Midlothian Council to review its actions and/or decisions in relation to that request.

Dear Hamish Fraser,
Both, adoption is adoption in the end. I do not know of many birth
parents who actally WIN against a L.A even with the finest legal
representation in the land. If adoption is the end action.
Yours sincerely,
