I can confirm that the information requested is held by Leicestershire County Council. Your request for information has now been considered.

There is no legal obligation to inform birth parents if an adoption breaks down after an adoption order has been made. However, the adoption team would deal with such cases on an individual basis.

Most of the content provided by Leicestershire County Council as a result of a request for information will be subject to copyright protection.
