Dear Mr Woods,

I can now confirm that i have completed the review that you requested regarding the above.

Following the receipt of your request dated 17/11/08, it was identified that the relevant team to respond would be the Highways Asset Management team, it was therefore forwarded to them on 21/11/08 with the initial 20 day reply deadline of 15/12/08 included.

Upon receipt of your email of 17/12/08 which included the request for a review, we immediately contacted the Highways Asset Management Team, who researched your request and sent you a comprehensive response on 22/12/08.

Unfortunately in this case it would appear that your original request was not logged separately within the team, the officer responsible for responding was subsequently off ill and as a result, this request was not dealt with, within the 20 day period. Following this case, I have discussed these issues with the team, as a result of this, an improved system of logging FOI requests has been introduced, in order to minimise the risk of this occurring in the future.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further assistance.

If you are still not satisfied with the response you have received you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner, details of your right to complain can be found at http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints.aspx

Yours Sincerely
