Dear Sir/Madam,
Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Information Request 3032
I refer to your email dated 10^th June 2011, which contained a request for
information as set out in italics below. Following consideration of your
request, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I respond
to each point as follows:
1. Firstly, how many families are receiving Adopted Child
Maintenance Allowances from your Council?
Under the Adoption Support Services (Wales) Regulations 2005 we have 10
recipients of an adoption allowance for a total of 12 children.
2. Second, how many adopted children are involved? (Some
families may have more than one.)
Under the Adoption Allowance Regulations 1991 we have 11 recipients for a
total of 17 children. Within this group however there are a significant
number who need to be reviewed as the children are nearing 18 years of age
and will cease to be eligible.
