Dear Cardiff Council,
I understand the Council, on occasions, offers customers the option
of paying an Administrative Penalty Agreement in line with s115A of
the Social Security Admin Act 1992.
When such offers are made customers are advised that failing to
accept the APA may lead to criminal proceedings (not specifically
for not making the APA but for the alleged offence).
My questions:
1 How many APA's are offered to customers an an annual basis.
2 Of these how many are accepted.
3 Of the ones not accepted how many does the council actually
commence criminal proceedings.
4 Of the criminal proceedings actually taken how many lead to
conviction.
Yours faithfully,
Paul McAleer
