Freedom Of Information Act 2000:-
(a) addresses of “long term empty” Commercial properties that are
within Barnet Borough Council area; and
(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a)

I acknowledge your request for information received on 16th April 2009
Your request is being considered and you will receive the information
requested within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by
the Freedom of Information Act 2000, subject to the information not being
exempt or containing a reference to a third party.

For your information, the Act defines a number of exemptions which may
prevent release of the information you have requested. There will be an

Dear Mr Nash
Further to your request, please find attached a list of commercial
properties in Barnet that are currently empty.
- As I don't know what you would consider to be "long-term empty", the
list is of all property that is currently empty but shows the start date
of the empty period so that you may select on that basis.
- The list only contains properties that are owned by non-individuals.
This is in accordance with the Information Tribunal decision in the
Bexley Council case, regarding the disclosure of addresses and owners of
empty properties owned by individuals.
