From: Maxine Jackson

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
I have sent a recorded delivery letter to Caxton House, and the
Royal Mail track and trace records display the following message:
"Item AI741028373GB was delivered to the addressee's Post Office on
23/01/12 05:36 for collection. The addressee is using our Local
Collect service."
It is now 3 days later, and the same message is still displayed on
the Royal Mail track and trace website.
Other letters I have sent to Caxton House have been delivered
directly to that address; will you please therefore confirm the
following?
(1) When did Caxton House (the head office of the DWP) start having
their mail delivered to a Local Post Office?
(2) Why did Caxton House make this arrangement, rather than in
continuing to have post destined for Caxton House delivered
directly there?
(3) How often does Caxton House collect its mail at the Local Post
Office?
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs M Jackson

24 February 2012
Dear DWP Adelphi Freedom-of-Information-Request,
Thank you for confirming that a recorded delivery letter with
reference number: AI741028373GB that I sent to Caxton House (the
head of the DWP/Jobcentre Plus) on 19 January 2012 was delivered
there on 23 January 2012.
I had made a specific request in that 19/01/12 letter in relation
to a Subject Access Request that had been entirely ignored at Local
Level, but notwithstanding the fact that my 19/01/12 letter was
received at Caxton House on 23/01/12 not only have I not received
any reply or even an acknowledgement in relation to my letter, but
I have now received a letter dated 13 February 2012 from a manager
from my Local Jobcentre that only confirms receipt of my letter to
Caxton House dated 17 January 2012; when that same manager sent a
letter to me on 27 January 2012 (4 days after my 19/01/12 letter
had been received at Caxton House) yet he mentions absolutely
nothing about that particular letter at all (either in his 27/01/12
letter or in his 13/02/12 letter).
However, you have now kindly confirmed that my letter dated 19
January 2012 sent by recorded delivery post (that has received no
acknowledgement or reply) was indeed received at Caxton House on 23
January 2012, which at today's date is now 32 days ago (over 1
month ago).
It therefore appears as if my polite request stated in that
19/01/12 letter, is being totally ignored, as indeed it was at
Local Level.
Also, after a change in my circumstances as I now have to now claim
for ESA (instead of JSA) I sent an interactive ESA1 form to the DWP
Canterbury BDC on 31/01/12 that was received there on 02/02/12.
However, last Saturday (18/02/12) I received what was alleged to
have been the same interactive ESA1 form (that I had sent to
Canterbury on 31/01/12) back, with it claimed on a Compliment Slip
only (no letter was enclosed) that I had not signed the original
ESA1 interactive form (when I had done) and that it was also
incomplete (which it wa snot).
When you complete an ESA1 'interactive' form, you can save it and
re edit it at a later date, and when that form is finally printed
off the actual date of completion and printing is also printed on
each and every page (at the lower left hand side of each page).
I made a photo copy of the interactive ESA1 form before I sent it
to be assessed at the Canterbury Benefit Delivery Centre on 31
January 2012, and I also provided a copy to my Local Jobcentre on 1
February 2012, when I closed down my JSA claim also.
The form that has been returned to me that I received on Saturday
18 February 2012 (last Saturday) has had most of its pages
'substituted' from a different blank ESA1 form, that is not the
'interactive ESA1 form' that I had sent in; the form sent back to
me does not display the date on the bottom left hand side of each
page (as the one I had sent in on 31/01/12 had done) and the fact
is that someone at the Canterbury BDC has falsely claimed that I
had not signed the interactive form that I had sent in on 31
January 2012 )received recorded delivery on 02/02/12)when I had
done, with that person also having claimed that my interactive ESA1
form (that had the date of 31-Jan-12 printed on each and every
page) was incomplete, but the form sent back to me has had most of
its pages replaced by a different ESA1 form that is not part of the
interactive ESA1 form that I sent in on 31 January 2012.
Why is Jobcentre Plus doing this to me, when they are fully aware
of why I have actually been signed as unfit for work by my GP?
Are they deliberately harassing me?
Why has someone in the DWP ordered that the 'interactive ESA1 form'
that I sent to the Canterbury Benefit Delivery Centre on 31 January
2012 by recorded delivery post; that was both fully completed and
signed, and had the date displayed on each and every page in the
following way 31-Jan-12 - that a fraudulent ESA1 be sent back to me
with it now claimed that this was the original 'interactive ESA1
form' that was received at Canterbury on 02/02/12, when it is not
the same form, and from page 8, the form I received back on
18/02/12 have been replaced by blank pages from a completely
different ESA1 form that is not an 'interactive' ESA1 form at all?
Is the DWP trying to 'tip me over the egde'?
Yours sincerely,
Maxine Jackson
