Acting Chief Executive/Director One Nottingham
Andy Platt made this Freedom of Information request to Nottingham City Council
The request was successful.
From: Andy Platt
25 September 2010
Dear Nottingham City Council,
For quite some time the Chief Executive of 'One Nottingham' has
been listed as 'acting'.
Recently the job title appears to have been changed to 'Director of
One Nottingham' and, although the same person appears to be in
post, he is no longer described as 'acting'.
Please supply the following information under the Freedom of
Information Act -
1) Is the current incumbent of the post still serving in an acting
capacity or has he now been appointed permanently?
2) If the appointment to the post is now permanent,
a) was he appointed via an open recruitment process under NCC's
standard recruitment procedures?
b) if the standard open recruitment process was used please provide
details of the recruitment process i.e. where was the
location/placement of adverts, any use of consultants/recruitment
agencies, the number of people interviewed (or who reached the
final stage of selection if this was something other than
interview) and the date of permanent appointment.
c) if the standard open recruitment process was not used, please
detail the process used to appoint the current postholder.
4) If the current incumbent is still serving in an acting capacity
please tell me what the plan is for making a permanent appointment
including timescales.
5) What is the current salary for the post of Director of One
Nottingham?
Yours faithfully,
Andy Platt

Dear Nottingham City Council,
Ref IGO/10-7577
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Nottingham City
Council's handling of my FOI request 'Acting Chief
Executive/Director One Nottingham'.
Your response is now out of time. I therefore request a review of
the lack of a response to my request for information.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:

Dear Information Governance,
Are you ever going to do anything with this? You have clearly
deliberately and cynically ignored the original request in breach
of the law and have failed to acknowledge my review.
You don't have that long left to provide a full response to the
review. If this has to go to the Information Commissioner to get a
response I will be pushing for the maximum enforcement penalties
possible.
Yours sincerely,
Andy Platt

Dear Mr Platt
Re: Your request for information
Thank you for your email dated 16th November 2010 in relation to your internal review. I have checked our system but haven't found anything in relation to an internal review form yourself on this matter.
Could I please ask that you re submit it to this office at your earliest convenience so that I can log your internal review on to our system and start the process so that we can supply you with the response.

Dear Information Governance,
My request for a review is clearly posted here
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ac...
I therefore find it unlikely that you haven't received it. You
might wish to report the matter to the What Do They Know team.
Regardless as to whether I had submitted a review request or not,
you are already way out of time for a response to my original
request and therefore in breach of the law.
Yours sincerely,
Andy Platt
