Dear Mr Kaye

Freedom of Information Request (Our Reference: 286)

Thank you very much for your Freedom of Information request. I apologise
that this request is being sent slightly late, due to the holiday break.
Your request has been detailed below:

Could you please give me details of any acquisitions by the gallery of
items from or by any trustee or officer of the gallery in the last three
years, including details of the amount paid?

Over the past three years, Tate has acquired two works by a serving
(artist) Trustee of Tate. One of these works was a gift from a third
party, and the other is one of a group of 22 prints by 23 artists in
total. In relation to the second, you will find listed below only the
print which is relevant to your request. The list of the remaining 21
works which form part of The House of Fairy Tales, by a range of artists
including Dexter Dalwood, Peter Blake, Fiona Banner and Cornelia Parker,
has not been included. If you would like this additional detail, it can
be found on Tate's website.

Both of the acquisitions listed below have been made in accordance with
Tate's Policy on Loan and Purchase of Works of Art from Trustees and
Committee Members, Tate's Policy on Transactions Involving Benefit with
Artist Trustees, and the Charity Commission's Guidance on Trustee
Benefit. Tate's policies, as well as the Charity Commission's guidance,
can be found online. The works you requested are detailed below:

Jeremy Deller (appointed as a Trustee on 10 January 2007)
