Dear Mr Kaye
Thanks for your request for details of any acquisitions by the Gallery of
items from or by any trustee or officer of the Gallery in the last three
years, including details of the amount paid.
The following items have been acquired for the Gallery's primary
collection of portraits from trustees and officers of the Gallery in the
last three years:
In July 2008 the Trustees accepted as a gift from former Trustee, Flora
Fraser, a portrait of her mother Lady Antonia Fraser and sister Natasha,
painted by Olwyn Bowey in 1966 (NPG 6843)
In Feburary 2010 the Trustees agreed to the purchase of two silver
gelatine prints of Lydia Lopokova, dancer and wife of Baron Keynes, by
Emil Otto Hoppé, 1919, from Terence Pepper, Photographs Curator, at £350
(P1351-1352)
Under the terms of the Act, I am required to inform you of our appeals
