Dear Home Office,
Please could you supply a list of all funding given by the Home
Office to ACPO for the financial year 2010/11. A similar table to
http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa...
would be a sufficient level of detail.
Separate to this specific request, I would like your advice and
assistance for requests I am planning to make. Specifically, I have
been trying to get copies of the contracts associated with your
funding for ACPO over the last several years, and this has proved
difficult because of the way you store this information. I intend
to break down my request into chunks so that the burden on you is
controlled and in line with the statutory limits on costs.
In particular, I would like to structure my requests to make the
total burden on you as small as possible. What would be the best
way for me to do this? In the past you have explained that these
contracts are held by multiple units and within multiple record
management systems within the Home Office
(http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/53...).
Would it be best for me to break down my requests by unit, or by
record management system, or by some other partitioning of your
organisation? So for example I might make one request for all
contracts with ACPO held by unit 1 or in record management system
1, and then later another request for the contracts held by unit 2,
etc.
If one of these options would be best, please could you provide me
with a list of the relevant places within your organisation? (i.e.
a list of the units or record management systems as appropriate.)
Yours faithfully,
Ganesh Sittampalam

Dear Home Office,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's
handling of my FOI request 'ACPO funding 2010/11'.
As you've acknowledged in your letter of 31st January, the Home
Office is breaking the law. This isn't exactly an aberration in the
context of my requests about ACPO, and I'm rather disappointed that
matters haven't improved over time.
My email of 3rd January also requested your advice and assistance
on how to obtain your contract documents with ACPO as efficiently
as possible.
This was entirely separate to my request for funding amounts. It
would be very helpful to receive this advice as quickly as
possible, as without it the process of requesting the contracts is
likely to be more drawn out and frustrating for both of us.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,
Ganesh Sittampalam
