Dear Home Office,

Could you please provide copies of all documents and emails you
hold on the Association of Chief Police Officers and it's use by
the Home Office or police forces across the UK. Please include in
particular anything you have on work given to the ACPO and public
procurement issues as well as issues to do to with the ACPO not
being covered by the FOI Act.

Yours faithfully,

Chris Richards

Dear Malti

Thank you for your reponse. I appreciate that the request is wide.
I am particularly interested in any work given by the Home Office
to ACPO and whether that has resulted in the ACPO maintaining
databases or holding information that would alternatively have been
held/maintained by either the Home Office or another public body
that is covered by the FOI.

If such work has been given to the ACPO I am interested in the
procurement process for this and whether this was an open
procurement or done on a single-tender basis.

I am also interested in any reports done by the Home Office on the
use of the ACPO and its exclusion from the provisions of the FOI.

My interest stems from a concern that the ACPO is potentially being
used as a mechanism to bypass the provisions of FOI given that the
ACPO is not a named body under that Act.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Richards

Chris, sadly, fail.Your indecisive way of writing means they think your communication is ended even though you have learnt nothing.Ask short, VERY focused questions otherwise they say it costs too much to research. We need to discover more about the arrangement.
