Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,
My two questions are as follows...
In the year 01/01/2010 to 31/12/2010 what is the exact number of
drivers aged 17 - 25 who had their driving licenses revoked within
two years of their passing the UK driving test due to the following
circumstances......
Penalty point totals
Failure to insure a vehicle
Driving while unfit through drink or drugs
Driving a vehicle other than in accordance with the terms and
conditions of a Uk driving license
Causing death or serious injury occasioned by their
careless/reckless/dangerous driving
Yours faithfully,
William Morrison-Bates

Dear Mr William-Bates,
Thank you for your e-mail requesting information. Before we can proceed with your request we need to clarify the information you require:
Do you mean drivers between 17 and 25 who have been revoked under the Road Traffic (New Drivers) Act 1995 where drivers who accumulate six or more penalty points during their probationary period will have their licences automatically revoked by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) acting on behalf of the Secretary of State.
Please clarify what you mean by "penalty points totals". Do you mean all drivers currently revoked for accumulating 6 points.
Please confirm that you want figures for those revoked for accumulating 6 points for the following DVLA Endorsement Codes. Or do you mean that you want figures for those disqualified by a Court of Law.
IN10, DR20, DR50, DR80, LC20, CD40, CD50, CD60 and CD70.

Dear FOI FOI
Thank you for your rapid reply to my inquiry asking for
clarification of certain points of the request.
For the purposes of my studies I shall require ALL details of ALL
drivers between the ages 0f 17 and 25 who have had driving licenses
revoked during the period previously stated, whatever the age of
the person involved, or irrespective of their driver "status" ie
new driver, or offence(s) occasioning suspension of their driving
privileges.
The sex of the banned person should also have no bearing upon this
request, nor nationality or health status.
I do hope that this clears up any misunderstanding that may have
occurred in relation to my original request !
In short... details of EVERY driver between the ages of 17 and 25
who received driving suspensions (01/01/2010 - 31/12/2010 for
WHATEVER reason and a comprehensive list of offences committed in
percentage form ie
4295 suspensions 32% of which were DD46
Thank you
