Dear Luton Borough Council,
As a rate payer I would like to know if any of my rates are used to
pay for adverts in the paper for weddings and functions in the
marquee at stockwood park.
Also if council money is used to subsidise these activities
as they are advertised as non profit on their web site!

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request and can advise that weddings and functions are not subsidised by Active Luton nor by LBC funding. Any profit generated from this area of work is used to develop, increase and subsidise community sporting activity.
If you are unhappy with our response, please write to me, Rosemary Stipta, Corporate Information Officer at Town Hall, Luton, Beds, LU1 2BQ, so that I can arrange investigation. If you remain unhappy after the conclusion of the Council’s internal complaints procedure you may apply to the Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9 5AF.
