Accessibility Strategy Leicester

Dear Leicester City Council,

The Equality Act 2010 (Section 88 Schedule 10) requires all Local
Authorities responsible for schools to create, amend and keep up to
date an Accessibility Strategy.

Please supply your Accessibility Strategy pursuant to the Equality
Act 2010 in an accessible electronic form.

Dear Leicester City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Leicester City
Council's handling of my FOI request 'Accessibility Strategy
Leicester'.

In your response to my original request you reply:

"The Equality Officer for Children’s Services and the Service
Manager for the Special Needs Teaching Service are prioritising the
update of our Accessibility Strategy for schools. The Strategy will
then form part of the Equality Toolkit that is currently in
development for use in schools in Leicester to support them in
meeting their equality duties under The Equality Act."

This response quite clearly states that the authority are updating
the accessibility strategy for schools. As the council has an
existing strategy then I require to see that strategy (and the
exemption would therefore not apply).

I would therefore like you to review the response as I believe it
is flawed.
