Dear Ms Shrive
I can only repeat what has already been said. The Home Office is
unable
to assist you with your request, which centres on problems you have
encountered with the Valuation Tribunal as it is not a body for
which
the Home Office has responsibility. The sponsoring department for
this
authority is the Department for Communities and Local Government.
This inability applies to your other request for internal reviews,
on
correspondence between yourself and other government departments
and
public authorities. The Home Office has no jurisdiction on the way
which
other public authorities deal with general correspondence or
Freedom of
Information requests. In the case of the latter, The Freedom of
Information Act places this responsibility with the Information
Commissioner's Office, the contact details of which have already
been
provided.
The work of the Home Office and it's remit is outlined on the Home
Office website www.homeoffice.gov.uk
<http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/>
and includes such areas as Counter Terrorism, Immigration,
Passports and
Policing policy (queries regarding the work of individual police
forces
should however be sent directly to the authorities concerned)
Any further correspondence on issues which do not refer to specific
Home
Office issues will not be responded to.

Dear CONTACTUS,
Are you The Office for Communities ? Why are Home Office saying you
deal with unfair competition & trading, when people like you and
the Ministries and Offices with similar names ,including Dept of
Trade , haven't a clue what doing, except to maladministrate . As
there has not been RESOLUTION.
I don't expect organisations I am paying for to not be protecting
me just ripping me off and supporting Local Authorities to abuse
their powers, through sole corporate directors. How do you intend
sorting out these abuses when Complaints on remits maladministrate
?So request internal review for you to understand the stupidity of
this structure and how causing civil liberties abuse .
Yours sincerely,
Julie Shrive

I don't know who you are but you obviously not democratic and don't understand that information is not just facts & statistics it is how people respond and sort out not wasting time and valuable resources , try to resolve and assist SERIOUS ISSUES . Why are you so obstructive? How does examining and following process resolve serious issues? I am dyspraxic numbers, location and sequencing . How does your set up and annotation assist and resolve as I find it confusing . Nothing is as good as one to one discussion .Years ago could do it 5 min flat but then people understood right and wrong and were able to reason and think. .
Ben Jones left an annotation (20 June 2009)
I totally understand that information can be considerd more than just fact and statistics. But that is not what it is defined as in terms of the Freedom of Information act, then it is seen as information held by a public authority.
You are obviously after advice but using the least appropriate method of getting it. You must also remember that a public authority has 20 days to respond to a request under the Act, which again causes frustration for yu as you need instant advice and resolution. .
Julie Shrive (Account suspended) left an annotation (23 June 2009)
For someone suffering since 1997 watching incompetent maladministration of process caused by people like you not thinking or qualified, who are not democraticand don't like human beings incapable of resolving yet taking our money to look after yourself ??!!

Dear Ms Shrive
I have been passed a copy of your email to the Department for Communities
and Local Government, (and a reply to you from the Home Office) as you
refer in them to the Valuation Tribunal Service. But I have not seen your
original request to the Home Office.
As I understand it, from our Preston office, you submitted an appeal form
against council tax liability, but this has not been registered as an
appeal yet because you need first to appeal to the billing authority
(Pendle BC).
I am sorry but I am not clear from the correspondence I have seen what
your request for information or complaint is. It appears likely that your
complaint is about Pendle BC? If that is the case, I am unable to help
you. The council will no doubt have a complaints procedure and thereafter
the Local Government Ombudsman may be able to help you.
([1]www.lgo.org.uk)
Please would you clarify for me if there is any information you are asking
the Valuation Tribunal to provide or a complaint you want us to respond
to?

Diane Russell

Dear Russell, Diane,
Another call centre directed solely by the corporate DELIBERATELY
not understanding .
You need to get someone to speak to me as dyspraxic & find this
system confusing as not addressing serious ethical issues in a
democracy . To do that you must not adhere rigidly to remits and
contracts otherwise you deliberately dishonestly maladministrate. .
Yours sincerely,
Julie Shrive

Dear Ms Shrive
I am sorry that you think I am deliberately not understanding. I am
aware that your email has been to at least two government departments
without resolution and I am trying to establish the person/department
who can best help so that no more of your time is wasted.
The Valuation Tribunal Service (VTS) can only deal with a complaint or
request for information about the VTS.
If you provide me with a telephone number I will call you; I only have
your email address.
(Incidentally, this is not a call centre; the VTS is the administrative
office that supports the Valuation Tribunals).
Regards
Diane Russell
