Dear Prime Minister's Office,
I would like to know the prime ministers views on a our local
district councillor who has abused his position as councillor to
have a buzzer removed from a pelican crossing on a busy main road
outside his home as he finds it hard to sleep on a night..the
reason for the pelican crossing and the buzzer is for the safety of
the public and the blind this is a very busy main road the only
road to the local industrial estate with on average more than 100
heavy goods vehicles travelling back and forth on a daily
basses..my auntie who is in her 60s is blind and has been from a
young age what happens if she tries to cross a busy road alone she
cant rely on the safety of the crossing because our local town
councillor has had the safety feature for the blind removed due to
his sleeping issues.what i struggle to understand is someone in a
position our councillor is in why he would risk local peoples lives
who vote for him instead of using the bedroom at the back of the
house...but then again what more would you expect from a labour
councillor...i look forward to hearing a reply on this matter as
its only a matter of time before someone is injured or killed...
Yours faithfully,
WAYNE BARRETT
