Thank you for your Freedom of Information request dated 01 February 2012,
which we received by email on 01 February.

 

Please note that Museums Galleries Scotland is not covered by the Freedom
of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, but has made a policy decision to act,
so far as possible, within the spirit of the Act. However, we should point
out that the Scottish Information Commissioner has no remit over Museums
Galleries Scotland in relation to this information request and therefore
you will not be able to raise any further issues regarding our response
with them.

 

Your request for information was as follows:

 

“ I’d like to know details of Grants or other awards of funding from you
to Aberdeenshire Council in each of the last five years.  Specific to each
I’d like to know the purpose for which it was provided.”

 

I have attached a document detailing this information for the past five
financial years.  Aberdeenshire Council has also been awarded three other
grants in this financial year which are still to be completed.  This
information is included but as a separate list.

 

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to ask
Museums Galleries Scotland to carry out an internal review within 40 days
of receiving our response. This can be done by writing to the CEO of
Museums Galleries Scotland stating the reasons why you are dissatisfied.
The response will be reviewed by two members of the Museums Galleries
Scotland Senior Management Team who have not been involved in dealing with
the information request. You will then be informed about the outcome of
the review within 20 working days of your complaint being received.
