Dear Bolton Borough Council,
Abbreviated information on penalty charge notices

1. Please advise the date on which Bolton Council received the
standard all-England listing of PCN Code statements version 6.5
that was issued to all enforcing authorities, and also the source
that provided it to the Council.
2. Please provide a list of the texts of all allegations of
contravention exactly as stated on Bolton Penalty Charge notices,
identifying whether Regulation 9 PCNs or Regulation 10 postal PCNs,
for each Code number, where the texts of contravention stated by
Bolton Council have been in any way at variance from the
contravention texts stated on the PCN Codes listing version 6.5,
also stating for each the date(s) on which PCNs were first issued
with texts not exactly as stated on the PCN Codes listing version
6.5.
3. Please confirm (or otherwise provide details) that Bolton
Council has not issued since 17th November 2010 any PCN on which
the alleged contravention has been stated differently from the
texts stated on the PCN Codes listing version 6.5.

Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000

In response to your request for information we have contacted the relevant
department and Bolton Council are happy to supply the following
information.

1. Please advise the date on which Bolton Council received the
standard all-England listing of PCN Code statements version 6.5

that was issued to all enforcing authorities, and also the source
that provided it to the Council.

2. Please provide a list of the texts of all allegations of
contravention exactly as stated on Bolton Penalty Charge notices,

3. Please confirm (or otherwise provide details) that Bolton
Council has not issued since 17th November 2010 any PCN on which

the alleged contravention has been stated differently from the texts
stated on the PCN Codes listing version 6.5.

The abbreviated contravention codes on the computer for Regulation 10
PCN's were amended to include the full contravention on the 15^th November
2010
